Ten Ton Hammer: First off, the 2Moons Closed Beta wrapped up in late March, why has it taken so long to get the game into the Open Beta phase? Is there a new release date planned for the game – perhaps an early or late autumn release instead?

Dave Perry: It’s a different kind of situation than we’ve been faced with before, where a game is in full development in another country, and released, and we are trying to catch up in the USA. It’s a first for me. The development team is moving fast and so we keep finding ourselves at forks in the road, do we wait and include all the latest features, or do we just go ahead and release. We decided to delay one more time and told the community they will have the Open Beta client by the end of July. We are standing by this, so the countdown has begun. We will do the same for Commercial release, we will look at what we want to add, then pick a date and stick to it.

Ten Ton Hammer: 2Moons has been a highly anticipated title for some time now, generating over 200,000 closed beta applicants. However, there’s been very little publicity being generated for the game lately? What’s the hesitation? Is the game taking longer to localize than was first estimated?

The 2Moons beta registration has passed 280,000, according to Perry.

Dave: We have passed 280,000 registrations so far without any money spent on marketing at all. It’s pretty funny as I come from the world of TV advertising etc. The PC MMORPG market is very mature; the gamers know what they want and how to find it. I’m not so sure that spamming them with endless adverts really would make a giant difference. They just care about the game and the experience. If they like it, they will invite their friends. That’s what I love about the free-to-play model is that they can play as long as they like without spending a dime. So the experience is just minutes away by digital download.

Ten Ton Hammer: At the end of the Closed Beta, it was mentioned that there are a large number of things that needed to be fixed; can you go into detail on what some of those items were?

Dave: Many of the things the gamers asked for were caused because the features were turned off during closed beta. (Mounts, customization etc.) In this next build they are turned on, and so I’m looking forward to the next survey we run.

Ten Ton Hammer: It’s no secret that 2Moons is being developed as a very, very mature game. I’ve taken a look at some of the in-game dialogue that users were going to create, and there’s some pretty coarse language throughout. Why did you choose to make a game that pushes the boundaries? What is there to gain from making such a brutal, harsh world?

Dave: The language in the game during Closed Beta was, admittedly, a bit over the 2moons. We had hired a writer and asked him to make the dialog edgy and very mature, He was like a kid in a candy shop as nobody had ever lifted the restrictions on him before. However, in our surveys players actually felt he had taken it just a bit too far, meaning that people started to feel like they were being mean to you, cursing all the time. So my Assistant Director, Rusel DeMaria – a very experienced game industry writer – has taken on the task of rewriting the dialog, toning it down somewhat, while still keeping a very adult style. It’s a lot of extra work (also explaining delays) but it’s what the surveys called for.

We still want to present a hardcore, uncensored world. In many MMORPGs, the world itself is dangerous and violent, but the characters all speak in very artificially polite ways, and even the bad guys really don’t talk like bad guys. In 2Moons, people talk rough, and don’t pull their punches. As I said, our players seem to appreciate this approach – to them it’s refreshing and honest.

Allowing herself to breathe for the first time in minutes, a small pillow of dust flies from near her lips, as the healer surveys the area for the hunter. Slowly getting to her feet, wincing at the pain from her back, the healer knows she must follow the hunter. Beaten, but not broken she walks away from the dead warrior and battleground with the conviction of finding the bitch that shot her and taking back what does not belong to her.

Taking life for any measure, Pitborn or 2moons otherwise, the hunter has long been a blight to her people. To take without giving back to nature is the only way she knows how to live. The amount of DIL offered for the treasure in her pocket could not be passed up. At the specified meeting place she waits, perched high in a tree, rolling the bag around in her pocket. Playing scenarios in her mind she decides to take the bag out of her pocket and wedge it at the base of a branch next to the trunk in a shady part of the tree then drops down to the ground and waits.

A sound from the bush behind her, she is quick to turn and make her bow ready. Bow strings taught from the pressure her drawn hand has applied, she watches the bush intently waiting for the sound to show itself in the moonlight. The mere sight of the knight tells her this is not who she is to meet. The hunter releases her grip and sends the arrow fl 2moons dil 2moons dil 2moons dil 2moons ying. The knight throws up his shield arm and only just deflects the arrow coming true at his head.

“Ah, lady hunter, I suspected I might run into you out here in the moonlight, but where is your friend?” Taken aback by the knight’s words, the hunter says, “I have no friends in this life”, as she readies her next arrow and looses it in one fluid motion. Again the Knight throws up his shield to deflect the arrow singin 2moons dil g directly for his head. This time the arrow lodges itself into and through his shield only three inches from his face. The words of the Knight cause her to second guess her two arrows only hours earlier, and she glances up to her tree with worry. Knowing this glance as the only chance he may get to rush his foe the Knight charges head on with his eyes only just above his shield. Knowing her mistake the second she turned from the Knight, the hunter begins pulling an arrow from her quiver and turns to meet the charge, but only to late. The knight sweeps his shield from right to left and knocks the woman’s arms down as he swings his right hand in for a blow to her head. Off balance, the hunter knows a swing of the blade is coming. Knowing she can not block this attack from the position she is in, she drops to the ground and rolls quickly out of the way and back to her feet, loosing an arrow on her 2moons dil way up. The Knights blow plunges his sword into the ground just as an arrow pierces the armor on his bicep. Knocked back, he reaches for his sword but drops it as he pulls it from the ground. Quickly he brings his shield up as another arrow from the woman comes at him and in the same motion he slides the shield onto his right forearm. The arrow glances off as the knight does a forward roll, grabbing the hilt of his blade on the way up. Thrusting forward from the roll 2moons the knight plunges the sword into the hunters belly and drives upward as he rises to eye level with her.

Blood gushing from her wound, she can do nothing but offer an alarmed 2moons dil stare into the eyes of the knight, as red spittle spatters his face when she coughs. Putting his shield to her face the knight forces her back and pulls his blade from her chest, just as he hears a sound from behind. Turning, the Segnale is fifteen feet away, making motions with her hands. “You are too late, Pitborn, I have already slain your ally, and I shall have no remorse for taking your life as wel… The hunter 2moons blood soaked and worn, stands at the knight’s back, hand attached to the dagger in the small of his back just below his breastplate. Letting her grip soften as the knight falls forward, the hunter also falls to her knees. “Finish you’re healing, Segnale, or you shall never find your precious satchel” the hunter says as she coughs more blood. Walking in close the healer bends to look into the hunter’s 2moons dil eyes and laughs heartlessly. “I don’t need you to tell me where my stone is, stupid hunter. Even now it calls to me from your tree. I merely healed you so that you may kill the knight and so that I may exact my revenge for the whole you put in my back.” The healer chants a moment while spheres of blood from the hunter’s body rise and seep into her own wounds. Now fully healed and revived the healer 2moons waves her hands in front of the hunters face then 2moons dil impales her razor like nails into her forehead six times, the last driven all the way in to the second joint of her fingers. She watches as the hunter’s eyes roll back into her skull then releases one hand from her head and uses the other to toss her against the tree so 2moons dil hard that the satchel drops at the base.

Leaning down she hears many footsteps coming from the brush. 2moons Quickly the healer pockets her satchel and makes for the opposite direction, for she knows full well what her stone is capable of, and who would like to take it from her cold dead hands.

Seconds later a small army of Pitborn creatures come into the clearing where the hunter and knight lay dead, followed by a cloaked figure. In a deep demon-like voice he says “Find that bitch, kill her, and bring me that stone.”

Acclaim Games announces the launch of the highly anticipated 2Moons “Dead Front” team PvP event. Up to four rival parties can compete in an assault on the impregnable Pokas Fortress, fighting their way through hordes of monsters and sub-bosses. First, each party must fight and defeat monsters to capture three supply depot locations. Then they must kill the sub-boss Ras Alhague guarding the front gate of the demon fortress. Once inside the Central Gate area, they must decipher the four Ancient Codes and gain entrance to the First Chamber of the Serpent Boss, Ophiuchus. Opening the secret wall to the boss room will then unleash a horde of Pitborn monsters. Finally, they will reach Ophiuchus, who awaits the survivors down the path. It will require the combined efforts of all players to destroy the mighty boss Ophiuchus!

The final phase of the Dead Front event is a massive PvP free-for-all battle. All survivors of the boss battle will be teleported into the PvP arena, and the last team standing will be crowned Supreme Warriors!

A day’s travel puts the battle far behind the healer. Coming across a hill scarred from battle, near the base she spots a crevice big enough that she would be able conceal herself in and take the rest she now needs. Crawling under the low overhang as she goes inside she notices she will be able to stand inside this place. Kicking out the few stones scattered on the ground, she removes the armor plating from her arms and drops the pieces to the ground, a small echo providing a faint resonating clank. Removing the buckles from her breastplate she raises it above her head, stretching with the movement. Dropping the breastplate to the ground as she kneels to sit, she places her back against the wall and takes out her satchel. Driving the points of her thumb and index fingernails into the small hole at the top she spreads her fingers to loosen the strings around the small bag. No bigger than a bird’s egg, she rolls the smooth stone between her fingers and gazes at its shiny black surface. Closing her fist around the stone she lays her head back against the wall, and tries to rest. 2moons dil

From the castle walls, as they prepare their arrows, the hunters call out, “Captain Validus, Captain Validus, the dragon approaches from the North. “To the cellars everyone, take refuge,” the captain demands his people. Turning his attention back to the hunters he says, “May your arrows find the dragon’s heart.” Arrows pierce the sky as the dragon comes into Validus’s view, flames in its wake. The dragon’s scaly armor shows no weakness to the arrows as it swoops in laying flame to the archers. For minutes that seemed like hours to Validus, he watches as the dragon breaths fire upon his home, destroying everything that can be burned. A short time later the ceiling begins to rise as he approaches the dragons den. Blood dripping from its chest, the dragon is weak, and unable to move from her position at the back of the den. She lets out a roar as a last resort and her breath brings a trail of fire with it. Validus raises his sword for a charge but hears a sound from behind. From behind him the dragon gets one last ounce of strength spreads its wings and bashes them against the wall, and the whole cave starts to shake. Down on a knee, Validus looks up to see the cave coming down around them. Quickly he turns to Arra Neea and notices she has fallen to the ground and is trying to get up, but stumbles as the cave violently shakes. 2moons Tossing his weapon and shield Validus charges at the woman and dives to push her out of the way. Thrown backward Arra Neea watches 2moons dil in horror as the cave collapses on itself and a boulder comes down and breaks in half over Validus’ back. 2moons

Quickly, Arra Neea moves to him and rolls him over, “Validus, Validus, 2moons I shouldn’t have come here. Placing her hands over his body she tries to heal him, but her powers are too young, she can do nothing but watch as Validus coughs blood. Remembering a story Validus had once told her about a certain stone, she removes a dagger that the knight 2moons keeps under the armor on his thigh and plunges it 2moons into his heart as she screams out in pain.

Boom, the healer is coming too, another boom and Arra 2moons dil Neea opens her eyes. 2moons dil Flames are hitting her small cave shelter. Awakened from her dream of the time that her heart turned black, from the moment her hatred and loathing for herself, this whole world and everything in it had awakened inside her. Arra Neea quickly puts the stone back in her satchel, knowing she doesn’t have the time to put on her armor, she rolls out of the cave.

hey guys, i duno if 2moons is anything like dekaron in gameplay but from the youtube video sure looks like the exact copy for now 2moons dil .

im from south korea and ive been playing dekaron for over a year now and to answer Itachi101?s question on top. 2moons dil

To make things simple the game is um … sexist ? well the 3 male characters 2moons dil

Bagi, Knight, and summoner ~ are characters that are rejected pretty badly when it comes to deadfronts and party hunting when ur lvs go over 100 ~ maybe even from 80

Knights are okay .. not that bad .. but still.. rejected badly 2moons
Summoners they look cool and will lv up the fastest to lv 60 thnx to their little pets ^ ^ but trust me … they are the … well. 2moons . they dont give good enough damage their armors suck and when it comes to deadfronts .. they pretty much suck.. when ur lv reaches over a 100.. its gonna be rough days 2moons 2moons

Magicians are always needed for their dmg 2moons
Senegals are awesome(when u reach lv 59 and learn curse field u just carry a lv 12 2moons weapons because it dosnt change the curse field dmg whatever weapon u use and put the rest of the stats into life = which results in a character that just wont die) 2moons dil and plus WHEN U REACH HIGHER LVS U CANT PVM WITHOUT THEM!!!
hunter is what ill be playing ~ ^ ^ and they are scary when it comes 2moons ot pvp and is still well rounded enough with good dmg to be welcome in parties
